Getting started
- Collection — add a watch with its brand, model, and a photo. Tap a watch to view, edit, or delete it.
- Accuracy tracking — from a watch's detail page, start a new timing run and record readings over time to see its average seconds/day.
- Wishlist — track watches you don't own yet, with the same add/view/edit flow as your collection.
- Magnetization check — hold your phone steady while it calibrates, then use the reading to tell whether a watch has been magnetized.
Frequently asked questions
Does Zhamë need an internet connection?
Not for the free features — those work entirely offline. Zhamë Pro adds
iCloud sync across your devices, which needs a connection to sync, but the app
still works offline in between and catches up once you're back online.
What's included in Zhamë Pro?
iCloud sync of your collection, wishlist, timing runs, and wear history across
devices; wear tracking (winding reminders, service reminders, currently wearing,
most worn, and history); exporting your collection as a CSV spreadsheet; and the
insurance report PDF generator.
How do I turn on iCloud sync?
Subscribe to Zhamë Pro and it turns on automatically, using whichever iCloud
account is signed in on your device. You may need to restart Zhamë once after
subscribing for sync to start.
Do I need to buy Pro again if I get a new device or reinstall the app?
No. Your subscription is tied to the Apple ID / App Store account you bought it
with, and is recognized automatically wherever you're signed in.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Tap Manage under Membership in the User tab, or go to Settings > [your name] >
Subscriptions on your device.
What's a timing run?
One continuous stretch of accuracy tracking for a watch, bounded by physical resets
of that watch. Start a new run after you reset or otherwise change the watch's
displayed time, since offsets are only comparable to each other within the same run.
What do the seconds/day numbers mean?
How far off a watch's displayed time drifts per day, based on the readings you've
recorded. A positive number means it's running fast, a negative number means it's
running slow.
How do winding reminders and service reminders work?
Winding reminders (Pro) use your assumed wear time to estimate when an automatic
watch's power reserve is running low after you take it off. Service reminders alert
you a month before a watch reaches your chosen service interval, based on its
purchase date.
What's in the insurance report?
A PDF listing every watch in your collection with its estimated value and an "as of"
date — useful for insurers, though values are self-reported estimates, not a
formal appraisal. See our Privacy Policy for how the
optional owner details on the report are handled.
Can I export my collection?
Yes, Zhamë Pro subscribers can export their whole collection as a CSV spreadsheet
for backup, valuations, or cost basis, from the Export section of the User tab.
How do I delete a watch or wishlist item?
Open the item and use the delete option on its detail page.
How do I remove all my data?
Delete items individually in the app. If you're not a Pro subscriber, deleting the
app itself removes everything else too. If you are a Pro subscriber, your data is
also in your private iCloud account, so deleting the app only removes the local
copy — delete items in the app first, or manage your iCloud data from
Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
